Gorbel G-Force
The G-Force is part of a new family of Material Handling equipment known as Intelligent Assist Devices (IAD's). The G-Force uses patented technology and an industrial processor controlled drive system to deliver unmatched lifting precision and speed. The units enable operators to lift and maneuver naturally, as if the device were an extension of their own arm. The G-Force will help improve productivity, reduce the cost of product damage, and minimize work related injuries.
Features:
Pinpoint precision - speeds from 1 fpm (0.3 mpm) up to 275 fpm (83 mpm)
Blazing speed - travels up to 4 times faster than traditional high end lifting devices
Infinite speed control - ideal for applications that require high speed at some points in the cycle and slow, precise movements at other points
The G-Force Itelligent Lifting Device gives the responsiveness and flexibility of a human operator plus the power of a machine. It incorporates a range of speeds so it is perfect for quick, repetitive motions and slow, precise placements.
The G-Force is available in two series:
G-Force BXi Series
The BXi model comes loaded with standard intelligence features and programmability to customize it to your application. This series comes in capacities of 150 and 300pounds. Higher capacities are available - contact factory.
Added Intelligence Capabilities:
Teachable virtual limits and speed reduction points - unit can be taught to stop or reduce speed when it reaches specific points in its lifting range
External inputs/outputs - endless possibilities exist for the I/O on the BXi model. Contact the factory for customized programming to maximize your BXi flexibility.
E-stop output - the E-stop can trigger or stop the external system that it is tied to (conveyor, CNC machine)
Option to interface with data systems via DeviceNet - external systems that use DeviceNet protocol can read or control the data points and parameters of the G-Force
Easily accessible external communications port - any computer equipped with special software can be used to upgrade or monitor performance
G-Force BX Series
This streamlined BX Series is a lower cost alternative for those applications that require the speed and precision of the BXi, but not the added intelligence and flexibility. Available in 150 and 300 pound capacities. Higher capacities available - contact factory.
Features:
Float mode capable
Inertia management
Mimics human motion
Precision capability
Speed range adjustment
Easy tooling integration
Operator indicator lights
Instant load fluctuation response system
Both series are available in 150 and 300 pound capacities.
Gorbel G-Force Easy Arm
The Brains of a G-Force, The Body of a Jib
The G-Force Easy Arm is the newest addition to our family of Material Handling equipment known as Intelligent Assist Devices (IAD's). We took our patented G-Force technology and an industrial processor controlled drive system and integrated them into an ergonomic articulating jib design.
Available in 150 pound capacity with standard spans of 6, 8, and 10 feet.
This versatile design is ideal for lifting applications that involve:
Reaching under obstructions and for low headroom applications - the wire rope goes over a pulley on the beam so you don't lose the headroom taken by the G-Force actuator
Reach around vertical obstructions
Reach into work cells/doorways and under overhead obstructions
Rapid change in direction - you don't have to move the weight of the actuator
Intelligent Crane Device
Gorbel's Intelligent Crane Device is the latest in our new line of Intelligent Assist Devices. The Intelligent Crane Device is a servo-powered system controlled by the "directional intent" of the operator. Adding intelligence to the crane enables the operator to start, direct, and stop the load with minimal effort. It effectively increases safety and productivity by reducing operator injuries and the resulting cost of workers' compensation claims.
Ideal Applications:
Applications that require precise positioning by the operator
High cycle applications
Applications where fast, safe direction changes are needed
